The transfer window has gone from bad to worse for Liverpool as far as incoming is seen. Neither has been any improvement on the outgoings situation. Mamadou Sakho is unwanted, yet no body wants to pay 30m for him, and there are further fringe players who other teams might want to take a punt on but are staying as of now.
The papers linked Liverpool to Diego Costa a few days back.
Phillipe Coutinho is leaving as numerous reports are saying, but now reports of him saying are coming as well with Liverpool ready to reject even a 120m Euros bid. Guillem Balague reported yesterday that Liverpool will rebuff any approach from Barcelona for Coutinho as Klopp wants him to stay.
But today, the papers have reported that Bayern Munich Super Star Arturo Vidal has been targeted by Jurgen Klopp as a replacement for Naby Keita and is confident of a deal going through. Vidal played for Juventus before moving to Bayern where has has thrived so much. His National team performances have been impeccable as well alongside Alexis Sanchez, and he is an important part of the Bayern Munich jigsaw puzzle. Marc Williams of the Daily Star reports that Liverpool have approached Bayern for Vidal and are ready to pay whatever amount Bayern Munich want. The Express also reported the same story and referenced Paul Joyce, a reliable reporter for Liverpool news, as the source.
Whether this rumor comes out to be true remains to be seen, but it is encouraging nevertheless considering the bad news Liverpool fans have been hearing for the past few days.
